Cheryl not only set the American record in the Snatch, but the American record for combined clean-and-jerk and snatch. She also won the Bronze medal.

You didn't mention Ding Meiyuan of China and Agata Wroble of Poland who played dueling WORLD records for the gold and silver medals in, the snatch, clean-and-jerk, and combined lift categories.

Congratulations to all three for an impressive start to Olympic weightlifting for women.

(btw The announcers made a point of mentioning that while these lifts are standard training fare for NFL and Division one football players, very few could match the weights these ladies lifted.)
