Is Literotica making plans to deal with the UK's new 'over 18 verification' laws due to be introduced next year after delays?

Or will I be blocked because Literotica is non-compliant?

Given the internet doesn't have borders, how does the UK propose to police this? Are they going to follow the Chinese model?

I don't know, nor do I think the UK government knows, hence the delay, but there seems to be a way. On YouTube for example I get messages that 'video not available in your country'.

Yes, I get that in Oz, too. I've always assumed it's a regional licencing thing driven by YouTube, not a government censoring thing. Interesting to see what happens. Australia tried to implement content filters a couple of years ago, and gave up. The internet almost ground to a halt, and of course, they didn't stop a thing.

It's a "watch this space," I guess.

Virtual Private Network

The simplest solution is to use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) which allows you to appear in one place although, in reality, you’re somewhere else.

I’ve used one for years because I don’t want sites collecting my IP address just because they can. The side benefit is you can “move” around the world with ease.

You can turn it on/off at will.

Certain content on BBC/CBC requires you to ‘be’ in the UK or Canada; EZPZ I just select London or Toronto and “poof” I’m there, but I’m actually HERE.

The going price for VPN service is about $30 US so it’s no big thing.

Warning: There are “Free” VPN sites DO NOT USE THEM.

Do a little research and you’ll find something that fits your needs at a very small price.

(There is one free VPN that I’d recommend, it’s Swiss and offered by Proton. Search them for more)
