I'm a sub female, but I've never really acted on it. I just told my boyfriend that I'd like to try chains and submission and things... And I would. But I'm a little nervous, and if any of you have advice, I'd be really grateful.

you would probably be best served to take a deep breath and talk quite a bit about how you envision D/s... Order in pizza, grab a bottle of wine, go over a checklist together, and just talk without any pressure. If you're thinking submission = kinky sex while bound in chains dungeon style, and he's thinking submission = blow jobs whenever he wants them, it might cut down on the frustration levels a bit if you figure that out early on, and find a way to meet in the middle.
