New to this and looking to chat with women

Hi all! I am a 41 year old white guy who just became single, not by my will but oh well her loss. I am 6'1 with brown hair and hazel eyes and 225lbs. I have a good job and haven't been in a bar in almost 20 years. So I may need some pointers on where to start. It's been 16 years since I have had to ask a woman out and really not wanting to go bar hopping hoping to meet someone new. And as far as the grocery store is the best place to meet women, well who ever said that never went grocery shopping in North Louisiana. Anyway not thinking I want to sign up for a website, what if choose wrong site? Like I said, I work but don't want to work to have to pay for all the different sites at out ragious fees. So I have enjoyed reading stories on here and thought could not hurt to ask for help. Can't treat me any worse than I have been for last how ever long. But it's a new day and a new adventure. So any help would be greatly appreciated and would enjoy the conversation to be honest too.

I think one of the best ways to jump back in the dating scene is to talk and get to know people. This is a good place to practice and meet people, just keep in mind you are meeting people from all over the world, and you may not find someone in your hometown, or nearby. That being said, there's a great bunch of people here and the best way to meet them is to get out there and start posting! Welcome to Lit, and good luck!

Thanks for the comment and I agree that just getting to chat will help me get past any fears I may be worrying about. And I also think it would be a lot of fun talking with someone halfway around the world. I have to believe that we are probably all alike all over the world, just with a few different outlooks.
