I arrived at the party early in anticipation of meeting Kelly's brother Keith. I had read most of his most recent books and I was intrigued with him. I had had my share of dates recently but it seemed to me that intelligent conversation was hard to come by now a days. I watched the door constantly well socializing with my fellow co-workers and employees.
I felt bad for asking Kelly to set us up on a blind date but I figured what could it hurt? I knew he was an attractive man from the pictures I had seen, and anyone who could write like him had to be intelligent. Kelly had seemed some what put off by my request and I was going to tell her to scrap it when she agreed to give him a call.
Glancing back at the door I saw him enter the ballroom. I remained where I was standing a moment longer, watching him glance around the room. I saw his eyes skim the beautiful women and I wondered if he was trying figure out which one was his lucky date for the night.
I looked down making sure my white clingy dress was hugging all the right places. Then I adjusted the thin straps on my shoulders and starte across the room. I walked the long way around so that I came up behind him. Before I could lose my courage I reached over and tapped him on the shoulder.
He turned around to face me and my breath caught in my throat. He was even better looking in person if that was possible. I felt a blush rise on my skin as his eyes drifted down my body and back up appraising what was before him.
"Will I suffice do you think?" I asked him smiling up into his eyes.
