Drop by the Story Discussion Circle and check it out. The SDC features a guided discussion and critique session for stories volunteered up by their authors.
How is does it differ from the Feedback forum? The average story posted on the SDC receives about 20 pieces of in-depth and thoughtful critique from fellow Lit Authors.
To get this much author participation, though, the SDC does have a two important rules. The first is that the moderator (me) is the only one who posts stories for critique. This helps maintain the slower pace and allows each story a good chance to get a lot of feedback.
The second rule is that you must critique--an honest to goodness critique--at least one story prior to yours getting posted. It's not as difficult to give a critique as it sounds! Mickey and JUDO, two smart writers, have some helpful advice for the nervous critic. You'll find some critique tips down at the bottom of the Rules and Discussion thread.
All you have to do is drop by the SDC and do two things. 1) Volunteer your story and 2) Give a critique!
It's easy to get your story on the discussion list. Drop by the Volunteer Your Story thread and post the URL to the story that you want critiqued. Then drop by any discussion thread and let the author know what you think.
To take a look at the rules and guidelines, drop by the Rules and Discussion thread.

Check it out! If you've done it before, don't let that put you off! You can do it again! As long as you've got a story we haven't done, put it up!
