That's alot of votes for the first day. I think it took two or three days for mine to get up to those numbers. I have ten chapters in that category. They are some of my best rated stories, but most of them don't have enough votes to qualify for the montly contest (they are about 15 or so short). It also seems that the number of votes fall off as you get further into the story. My later chapters (and they were all posted within about 10 days time, one chapter after another) don't have as many votes as my earlier chapters.
