I am thinking about writing a new story about a maid who "likes to go the extra mile" for the guests in a hotel, and was wondering if i should do it in 1st person or 3rd person? Any thoughts?

I'd say third person. I'd also say make it she's a new maid that is convinced by the older maids that the best tips are by going the extra mile...but they don't tell her what the extra mile is, she'll have to figure it out herself. Sort of like that Abby and the Old Folks story (I think that's the name.)

But that's me.

I'd suggest writing from which ever perspective you feel comfortable with.
