New Story: High School Reunion

Since there is no point in starting new stories on Chyoo2, I thought I'd start a completely new one of Chyoo3. Here is the blurb:

My only concern would be that Ofhabit2 appears to have disappeared (no posts since December, no site update since January). Admittedly, thats still more recent than Chyoo2. But the difference is that Chyoo 2 is linked to a much bigger site and although it might disappear over night, it will probably just be left running in the background. Chyoo3 on the other hand... We have no idea how long Ofhabit2 rented the space for, or if he is returning, or if he was flattened by a truck on Jan 18th, or...

Just a thought.

I will still hopefully add a thread to it sometime soon.

Not to worry. I have backups of all my stuff on my computer. And if I put it on Chyoo2, noone can see it, since it will never get approved. In nine months since I started the stories, The Mailroom Guy has 176 views, His Son's Friends has 140, and Lawn Boy has 96. I don't know how many are my views. And this is with fairly frequent postings here to advertise. In a relatively similar time period (15 months), Jamaican Resort has over 4000 views.

Basically, unapproved stories on Chyoo2 don't get viewed. I at least have a chance of people reading and viewing Chy003 stories, even if it's only 500 views a year.

I'm sure OfHabit is just super-busy right now. I haven't made significant updates to my web site for over a year.

Feeling creative and written a thread for you. Only problem is, there's nowhere to add it. You haven't set it up as closed have you? (Can you do that on Chyoo3?).

Checked some other pages on Chyoo3 and they were addable, but not that one.

Anything you can do?

I see the same lack of an "Add thread" as does Aaron. I wonder if the intro thread is special in some way.

You're right about unapproved stories being hard to find. I do have a "back door" which works if the author and I have contributed pages to the same story:

Go to "My Stories".
Choose a story and click "view writers".
Choose a writer and click "view stories".

This appears to give that writer's view on their stories, including unapproved ones.

If the writer has more than one page of threads, don't use the page navigation links at the bottom. Just add a slash and the page number to the end of the URL in the browser.
