A New Beginning, a story by 3dipper, posted in Interracial Love

I apoligize in advance for not posting the thread, but I am computer Illiterate to the max. However, I did write this story, mostly to see if I could do it. I was fairly pleased with it, as it was a new attempt.

It was accepted Mar 22, and has received 47 votes since then, with around 10,500 viewings. The rating is currently 3.96, and there has been 5 public comments, from a 0 to a 5.

One of the comments indicated the reader thought the whole thing extremely poor, and anothr comment took me to task because of the subject matter. To the other extreme, one reader thought it great, and a second was nearly as kind.

My problem is that the vote count is low, and I am wondering if that is because the product is that bad.

You are all writers, and I would value your feedback, as I do have some future Chapters outlined, with the idea of continuing should feedback support further effort.

I have done some stage plays and non fictional work in my past employment. (I recently retired after 20 years in the military and 25 years in government service). This attempt was just something I thought I would try.

My feedback ratio is very similar to yours:
Story A: 29572 views, 78 votes, no comments (though I didn't have the comment board up when it was new)
Story B: 10987 views, 60 votes, one comment, one e-mail. This one was accepted on the 3rd of March.

Most people that click on a story won't vote, and most that vote won't comment. You have to figure some of the views are duplicates too.

I've started putting a beg for votes at the bottom of my stories. I wonder if it will affect it at all.

So yeah, don't worry too much about it.
