Ok, I'm looking for a girl to play kitty pryde or one of the new mutant girls from the 1980s, possibly Danielle Moonstar, Sally Blevins or Illyanna Rasputin, or even Theresa Cassidy, who technically wasn't a new mutant. She'll have to be somewhat aggressive and make the first moves.
PM with your character and ideas.
For my fellow fan-geeks out there this is movie-verse x-men thread, set between movies 1 and 2. Magneto attacked the UN and the X-Men stopped him. Wolverine is off on his trip to alkali lake. Stryker hasn't attacked the mansion yet. Nightcrawler is still in a Bavarian circus, Magneto is in his plastic prison. Jean Grey is still alive and Pyro is stillwith the team.
I'll be playing Doug Ramsey, aka Cypher, the mutant who can speak any language and break any code. He's shy and has a bit of a crush on Kitty Pryde, who hangs out with three of the biggest studs on campus, Colossus, Pyro and Iceman. Consequently, she doesn't seem to notice Doug.
Whichever female you decide to play you'll have to make the first moves. He's pretty gunshy at this point, always waiting for the next mutant asshole to come along and work out their frustrations on the most human person at the mansion. Her initial advances will probably be suspect to Doug, who'll be looking for how this is going to be turned on him. Previous to this story the girl will have witnessed Doug getting picked on first hand and either been part of the group or been too scared to do anything about.
Feel free to pm me with ideas for what you'd like to do with the characters.

In human society Doug was a mildly popular kid, very smart, especially with computers, and somewhat athletic. Doug has fair skin, blond hair and is quite handsome, he was just coming to terms with his adolescence when he was offered a place at Xavier's school for gifted youngsters. It was only after he got there that Xavier revealed Doug's power to him.
At Xavier's Doug quickly found out he didn't fit in. His ability to speak french really didn't compare to John's ability to control fire, or Kitty's capacity to phase through matter. Doug was constantly getting picked on, other mutants making fun of his powers, using him as the butt of their jokes, especially practical jokes. Ironically, out of all the mutants at the school he would have the easiest time fitting into human society, but he was an outcast in a school of outcasts.
While he got along fine with the teachers, the only student that treated him like an equal was Cathrine Pryde, Kitty to her friends. Doug didn't really qualify. Kitty was in an advanced X-Men training class which pretty much made her one of the coolest kids in school. When she wasn't in classes or training with the likes of Piotr Rasputin and Robert Drake, she was hanging out with them. Doug saw her in the few classes they shared. She was easily the smartest student at the school, and Doug was a very distant second, but at least he was second. Both of them were 18 and doing college level classes, the difference was Doug was struggling through "Western Civ" while Kitty was flying through "Clovis, Charlemagne & Napoleon: an introspection on French Emperors." But when they were in a few of the classes they shared for the only part of his day Doug didn't feel like a freak, like he was worthless because he was practically human.
They'd just gotten out of a lesson together. Kitty was off to a Danger Room session with, as she put it, "that dreamy-eyed Peter." Doug had shook his head at the remark but Kitty didn't seem to notice.
He had gathered his books and went out to the grounds. He knew if he went to the library to study he wouldn't be save unless one of the teachers was there. Outside he had a pretty good chance of not being disturbed.
Doug was deep into his western civ text, reading up on Alexander's conquests when a shadow crossed over his book. He looked up and saw a short dark-skinned boy. Doug quickly became alert. The boy was Roberto DaCosta, a brazilian who's father was a billionaire industrialist. Roberto's powers made him the second strongest person at the school, and his upbringing made him believe he was significantly better then everyone else.
"What have we here?" Roberto asked, a wicked smile on his face.
Doug looked back at his book. "I'm studying Roberto." He wanted to toss a quip at him, but sometimes Roberto would just walk on. If you teased him, he would always make your life hell.
"Oooh college boy needs to study his college books. You think you're so smart Doug, a regular Doogie Howser, MD."
Roberto was taunting him, which wasn't good. Doug knew he should mollify the stronger boy, but he could only take so much. If both of them were human Doug wouldn't have to put up with this crap from the smaller boy. "Yeah I'm studying. I can't expect my daddy to buy me grades."
Roberto's etes lowered into slits. "That's it, you asked for it." In an instant Roberto was no longer recognizible. His skin and clothes were now obsidian black, light forming a sheen around him, seemingly absorbed into his body, only his eyes and mouth a glowing white.
Doug dropped his book and tried to scramble to his feet and run. He wasn't fast enough. Roberto grabbed Doug by the back of his pants, lifting him easily and shot-putting the blond boy a good 300 feet landing him in the swimming pool, creating a giant splash.
Doug was stunned for a moment, then realized where he was. He flailed, trying to get to the side of the pool. He'd swallowed a lot of water and could barely breathe. Sam Guthrie happened to be near the pool and when he saw someone struggling he jumped in, swimming out to where Doug was and swimming the boy to the side of the pool. Doug lay there for what seemed like an eternity, coughing up water.
"You ok?" Sam finally asked.
Doug coughed again, letting the breath come back into his body. "Yeah, I think so." Doug sat up, breathing slow and steady.
Sam slapped his back lightly, laughing a little. "Gotta be more careful around the pool if you don't know how to swim."
Doug turned and looked at the boy from Kentucky. Doug had grown up on his grandfather's horse ranch in California. He could swim and ride with the best of them. He knew Sam knew this, they'd been in the same orientation group a few years back. And then Doug remembered Roberto was Sam's best friend and figured the Kentuckian was covering for him already. "Fuck you Sam." Doug stood up and walked away. He'd go back and get his books after he showered and cleaned up.
"Well that's a fine thank you for saving your life!" Sam shouted after him. The Kentuckian shook his head and stood up. He was soaked too, but he had a quicker way of drying off. Taking a deep breath to focus himself Sam let it out and consciously chose to draw his blast field about him, instantly blasting off, rocketing into space. He figured he'd find Roberto and tell him about what an asshole Doug had been.
