New medieval/fantasy story (Writers needed)

I have a good (in my opinion) idea for a story and I need a few writers to help get this started. I am open to ideas for the story line maybe even one for a new genre as long as its very interesting. First off everyone has to give the typical description. Mine will be the example.
Race: Athurian (A human race from the mountains made of skilled warriors and archers A.K.A. Nords in a way)
Name: Stelgheim Eagle Eye
Age: 39
Height: 6'5 (Average for Athurian)
Weight: 226lbs
Hair: Black with white streaks
Eyes: White with a black pupil
Look: Stands tall but has a hidden sorrow and slight slump of one defeated. He is whole body is muscular. Not ripped but close. He wears leather padded steel boots, and gloves. He wears linen trousers with leather greeves over with some plating on it. Nothing is on his arms. He wears a linen shirt with chain mail and an iron wrap-round breastplate. He doesnt wear a helmet so you can notice the scar running through his left eye and the one under his chin.
Weapons/Abilities: He is an excellent tracker excellent eye-sight but has a quick temper and isn't too bright. He wears two swords on either hip and a bow and arrows on his back.
Bio: There isn't much known in full about Stelgheim. All that is known is he is a very capable battle and is a freelancer.
You don't need to make yours this long!

Character idea

If someone would be so kind I think a women character would tie In Very well and feel to make up a new race but give some description. Only 6 races! Different countries sure but 6 races. Ideas? Here are a few. Bålūk för kân(Orcs?), or The Chosen (Elves)
Hatushki (Asian Human Samurai etc) or Örts sá Blãshtû (Lizardmen or Goblins?) or The Defiled (Darkelves) Have fun!

Story

Well that's what I need help with!!!! Most of the stories that I have thought out are mostly ideas (And not very good ones at that) The only story I can possibly think of is this: This a little vague so others can put input into the story.
Let's say there's a continent the size of china with jagged edges to the top left and ledt a large smooth desert are to the south a ridged edge like the east coast to the east and the north is sort of bent off like Mexico with some islands scattered.
Let's say that a long time ah far far away there was the typical fairy tale sort of kingdom called Gaolêrįū where there were four provinces called Fetî (Top left) Sá Lo Pėq (South) Wêjuc (East) Kåkö (North) *Ask for pronunciation There was The Mighty King Olär Tž Lùp (The one born of sun) He dwelled in the Northern province (Think of a federal gov.) Each province had a leader and smaller groups. The records have been lost so the only two names known now are the king's and his betrayer. One day the leader of the Wêjuc province (Where the people lives in trees and villages instead of cities they are considered lesser because their ancestors are mayive to the land while the rest voyaged there) Safėd Ūht (One who rose above) Decides to bring the racism that was going on to the king because of unnoticed acts of raiding villages by other provinces for women food and timber. When he presented his case the king waves it off considering it in important. The Govererner (I guess you would say) was so mad he started gathering his people. Quick-fact His province has 48.3% of the entire kingdom's populace Pėq having the most skilled warriors Fetî in control of the minerals and most resources and Kåkö controlling agriculture beauty and trade. Without notice the governer gathered an army trained for 4 years and then marched out and fought the king. Needless to say Safėd Ūht won. Until present there is large comflict going on with over 31 warlords and only one organized kingdom in the north where Safėd Ūht's decendants stay. The main character (me) is the leader of a mercenary company with few friends and many enemies. The story starts with him wandering down the road bruised and bloodied from a lost battle a few kilometers away. That's what I got! Ask for pronunciations I won't make all very... Challenging!

Well, that is not bad!

You could try things like
- drawing a map (so it is easier to understand) and explaining where different species come from (if they are separated)
- stating how many other writers/characters you'd need for your story (I would say no more than 5, because it get too messy afterwards)
- explaining a bit more about your character and his company. Who they work for and what are they planning? Are they part of a trained group with a mission? Or were they together by accident? I mean, they could be all mercenaries, or they could have prisoners and/or have rescued someone in a burnt town or something.

Just think about what you'd like to have and tell it to the people, so they could know if they are interested in the story & characters

2. I guess 4 or 5 would be the best (Extras performed by writers)
3. I guess I'd rather stick with the idea that rather than different races different ethnicities for different areas
4. I am thinking for the beginning to where (After the bit with the lost battle) my character (might use mentioned one might not) would be bloodied bruised and is feeling very light. His horse collapses and he falls out of the sadel (Or however you spell it ) then the horse literally dies I the spot leaving my character feeling drugged and then suddenly he hears his enemies (Another mercenary group) appear on the scene) and he basically for all reasons gives up. There it qould transition to a couple different points of veiw (Pay attention) One is off someone running through the forest hearing the commotion another another mostly healthy survivor hding in a bush and a group of three coming down the road (With unknown relationships) All these people meet up and help the man dieing after fighting the mercenaries and almost turn on eachother but realize they had a common quest. I did JUST think of that you can give me some ideas here PLZ! After this there are some vague ideas I have of storylines.

Sexual Themes

Ok here's how I want this to go down. This is what Id prefer
1. No long sexual anything
2. If ya do here are two options
A. Go watch porn
B. Go to the other forum
3. I will allow kissing hugging and most things just not like it feels like your watching porn.
4. If you feel that there should be a sex scene do something like this ex. Have them have a small intimate scene and then say that the rest of the night was an explosion of passion
5. You can make your characters look sexy just not hoochy-mama wearing a thing and nips slip outfit
6. Please keep cursing to a minimum. Use words fitting for this time period like bastard, hell, damn and words like cur or wench
7. Make it sound beautiful

1. you can use any drawing program on your computer or I guess the iPhone has some program too.
2. Knowing this is your first group story, I thing 4 writers might be enough. You should start asking for them (in the "OPR announcements" thread or starting a new thread with "SEEKING" or something like that) or take a look at what other people do when they need writers for a group thread (there are many different ways for this, I've never started one myself, so I can't really tell you what to do)
3. ethnicities is easier than races, I agree
4. I like that story, it offers the possibility for the writers to choose anything about their character.

Right you used the Arthurians as Nords, so here is my little contribution.

Defiled - Trolls/Orcs (Basically get them in mountains where they live, hunt and breed)
Alcone Eclair - Elves
Lunarians - Black/Night Elves
Huskjears - Human (Think Egyptians)
Novaens - Human (Think warlike Moors)

Religion will be like Mythology based since this is old, remember back in those days the "heathens" basically believed in a variety of gods while the "civilized" people believed in one.

Wars I think it would be best to have the Elves one side, they are not a warlike people, the Trolls/Orcs will not really wage war (they are too stupid) the other races would most probably have at it

Rulers will depend from one race to the other, but from what I know the Arthurians (which is based on Nords), Trolls/Orcs will have groups with their own leaders, like clans. All the others is structured in such a way that they will have a king.

Umm...About the races

I do believe we have stated to ignore the earlier posts regarding races and disregard the character I made naming Athurian as a race. Through some constructive talks with Katie we did figure out that rather than make different races to make ethnicities with the continent being so vastly different. I did think of the idea food religion that you gave and agree. You also need to pm your email (if you haven't already) so I may email you the pic of the map that I drew using an app. I do appreciate the names you have thought of and think it better to repurpose than disregard. Now (Spoiler) but there will be another race besides human but that has to do with the story and I don't want to necessarily give that away completely until we are ready to write. This is the thread that we will be using to discuss the story until we start and then this will be repurposed as a reference guide. There will be a different thread for OCC. I do like these ideas you are having so keep having them!

Ethnicitie: Fetûcîen (Fetî NW Province)
Sex: Male
Name: Tahn Retuk
Age: 34
Height/Weight: 6"1 197lbs.
Look: His hair falls to level with his chin brown and completely straight. He has a goatee and dark green eyes with a scar going down his right cheek. He wears linen clothes with a chain vest and leather greeves, vambraces, chest guard, shoulder pads, boots and chain links under each. It is masters leather very hard to destroy but can only withstand so much. He is a pretty built man very nimble and agile but isn't the best when up to close range encounters.
Bio: Tahn was born an orphan, his parents dead like so many others to a raid from a warlord. He was found and raised in another village but knew that they weren't his parents. (considering they were of different color) His father grew suck and died when Tahn was 19. He had 1 sibling that hated him but kept the family farm planted for the sake of their mother. Tahn from a young boy learned the way of the bow, as did very farm boy, but he had a knack for it. He was the best marksman for miles around and competed in various tournaments. He helped his family grow but one day he struck off at the age of 25 for adventure. His family thought he had died for years after never receiving news. One day they received a letter and a satchel filled with coins saying that he had started his own mercenary company and fought for various clients. Not much is know of what he had done most forgotten. He has never wained in his love for the bow and uses it as his most favorite weapon. He fights with the bow and couple shortswords. He mostly just uses his leather and chain for armor but for looks he has a set of half plate. He is very agile quick and has a large amount of arm strength (Large amounts needed to draw a bow) but he is otherwise not the best in close confrontation. He can only takes so many blows. If you can avoid being killed by the bow (I doubt) you might be able to kill him.

Updates, News, And Ideas

This post will mainly be an update post detailing things that have just became part of this thread. We currently have me, Katie, Death as absolutes. Katie and Doom finalizing their characters and me having posted mine. We also have someone wanting to join but I haven't heard much from him or her. Everyone seems to want a map for the thread, but I honestly don't. I know that it adds that extra RPG element but considering the fact that a map of the old provinces would be useless and there are over 30 city state warlords that would have very complex borders making it hard to map it at all. However if you guys want me to I'll try it's just hard to on an iPhone. I will detail a little of the setting before we start but it all will be detailed when we start. I think if our group works then we won't nessarily need more writers than maybe one. HOWEVER when we start the thread and the occ thread anyone can talk on it giving opinions and feedback. I want you guys to know that I am not a very patient person and would appreciate if everyone would hurry up a bit but if you need time take it. Also PEOPLE!! Start commenting on this thread even I you don't want to write giving ideas. THNX GUYS APPRECIATE YOU ALL!!
