Congrats!!!! I have an interview tomorrow, wish me luck. I have been unemployed for like 2 months.. really need to get back to work, just haven't wanted to settle for something. Of course money is important, unfortunately.

Yep. We started going when we moved to Philly. I used to hate churches, but I love it there. It's great and so much more intelligent than most churches I have been to. And the interview went great! Hopefully I'll be back in the masses soon.

Awesome! I was raised UU and that symbol (well, something similar) was on the wall in the sanctuary of my parents' church. I don't attend church anymore and I consider myself an atheist, but I will probably always feel closest to UUism.

Thanks, and congratulations yourself! I posted here and in BDSM Talk because those are the two forums where I feel closest to the participants. I hang out in How-To some also, but I almost never visit the GB so I didn't really feel like posting it there.

An update - I signed the offer letter yesterday, and I start on Monday! I'll be making $31,500, which is less per hour than I was making before but I'll have more hours and benefits so it all evens out. Yay!

I apologize for taking this off topic, but my interest was really piquied (sp.??) with the mention of UU. I had never heard of it before, but for some reason decided to check out the link. Granted I read VERY little of the information, but I found it very interesting. The little that I did read seemed to match the beliefs that I hold. I will most definetly be reading more into it. Thanks.

Thanks! I'm curious, how did the UU church help you?

I had my orientation yesterday and my first assignment today. It was really tough but I love the people I'm working with and I think this is going to be a great job for me.
