Did a hike at Ramapo Reservation, there was a sprinkle or two but I was home before the rain.

We went to Pt Pleasant and Long Branch Saturday. Weather was perfect....sunny, a little bit of a breeze....no big crowds. Perfect.

We were going to Pt Pleasant as well this weekend but decided to go a neighborhood BBQ instead. Good food, alcohol and good bantering with the people there without the 3 hour drive on the GSP is a huge win!!

I dread the GSP on summer weekends

GSP for the most part is a horrible ride regardless of weather and time of year.

It's ofc worse on a Friday night or Saturday morning going South in the summers and going North on summer Sunday.

I try to avoid it at all costs but sometimes we just gotta do what we gotta do. The bbq we attended was a few blocks from home so worse case scenario I would had walked home if I was drunk haaa!?!

thankfully we live west on 195 and can get to point pleasant or spring lake/sea girt with no traffic most of the year

Went to point pleasant Saturday morning. Left after 10. Even got gas and had no traffic on pkwy until we got off the exit and were close to Arnold ave. The day was gorgeous. Rained a little early evening, but turned out to be a pleasant night. No cover charge for Martell’s and the band was great! Don’t remember their name though

Yes I wholeheartedly agree with you. Rain should only be allowed on Tuesday thru Thursday with Monday and Friday disallowed for those taking a three day weekend!!??

I know we need the rain but hopefully it'll be a clear day tomorrow. We're due to head to a graduation party with about 75 teenagers all in the pool. I'm fearing for my cousin who will have said teenagers all inside if it's a raining

As I read your paragraph I'm listening to rhe crackle of thunder and raindrops ......... I'm glad I went for my walk when I did or I'd be in the middle of this downpour.
