New in Seattle

hey all. I'm new in town and scoping out the scene. Anyone have any ideas for fun things to do around here?

what kind of phun?

well to tell you the truth I'm not really sure. There seems to be a lot going on downtown. I guess I'm just trying to find the hot spots. Clubs are usually pretty lame, but good bars with bands, hole in the wall places, etc is what I'm looking for. You know, something only a local would know about

I grew up in Seattle and just recently left to go to college. I don't know if it's anything you'd enjoy, but there's a great Jazz place in Tacoma called Kelly's Bar. They have live jazz on fridays and saturdays late into the night. Very mellow, very fun to take a date to and just chill in the dark room. Should be able to find it in the yellow pages, if not, i could try to track down the number. pm me if you want.
