I have been thinking of a story idea, a hero runs into a female cult. Our hero is a undercover reporter. But the problem I am having is how the hero is introduced to the cult.

And any input the cult is worshiping is also appriciated.

The reporter could be investigating the disappearance of women in the town that this all happens in, and have his search for the truth lead him to the cult's compound... Just an idea in case you haven't nailed one down yet.

Your reporter could try to dress up like a women to get inside. That might be a bit campier that what you were going for though.

As far as what the cult might be worshiping. The Mesopotamian goddess Ishtar was seen as both a goddess of love and of war. Could be a group of modern day Amazons that make up the cult or something....
