new goal is to get to toronto for august 14th. am completely broke, and completely jobless. my friend and i looked up bus fares (shes coming. lol) and it's $499.64 (eep.) anyone know any uber cheap ways to travel other than hitching? or would anyone in toronto like to purchase 2 teenage girls? keeping in mind they would have to pay for shipping lol

Hmmmm.....why are you going to Toronto? How long will you be there? Is there any reason you can't take a job just for a few weeks?

Well, first bet is try amtrak for train prices and look for deals, second is travelocity or priceline for cheap plane tickets, which are sometimes less expensive than you'd think. After those two things, it gets a little more 'play it by ear.' Most areas offer a couple of cheap ways to travel. The best way is to ride with someone already going there, and pay for gas or something. Many, if not most, college students will do this at some point. Check sites like criegslist for ads, or post one, and try local coffee shops or other places where things are often posted. Beyond that, your cheap options do become quite limited I think. But maybe someone can help correct me. One trick is to look for special deals on a bus or train going in the middle of the night - I know theres one from DC to New York at like 2am thats really cheap, and I'm sure there are other things like that around the US and Canada. Hope some of this helps. . . .

If you can work, you need to get a job for the next few weeks that deals with alot of cash. Try getting a job waitressing, bartending etc. Something with alot of cash tips.

if you want money fast, go work in a strip club for the money. all you have to do is dance and get money, if you are hot it will be no big thing

it can get dicey but weekend airfares (which come out on Tuesday or Wednesday) are often the best deal ... AC is C$440 per person all taxes and charges which is ridiculous ... the bus sounds like an invitation to Hell ... did you look at VIA? however August is the high HIGH season and likely astronomical by rail as well

hmmmm ... what is it you would be willing to do for cash? LOL

As for acquiring two young Canadian women what is it the purchaser gets? I am always up for interesting investment opportunities!

You may also want to start making your goal realistic. You have no income and no job, so it looks like it's out of the question, since no matter what people say, no one is going to just give you money.
