Gee, the guys seem to like it alot when I write in that form ... makes it very personal and they can picture themselves in the position (hmmmm...) of the man.

No, seriously, second person works really well when you're writing for another person. When you're writing for the public, though, it can give you problems.
You write well though, and the story was a lot of fun. Welcome to Lit.
