New format getting to you?

Does anyone know is Lit going to receive a yearly update?

Just when I was getting used to all the changes from before..

I don't know Nightbird, maybe someone else will come along and tell us?

I don't think it will be yearly, but it could be. It mostly depends on the software maker, necessary industry changes, legal requirements and security updates. Any of these could cause an update. It's a necessary evil in the computer world. We need to keep up with the Jones, fend off hackers and viruses and also keep the legal guys happy.

Manu isn't the cause of the problems during update time. These software makers always want to change everything, making it necessary to learn how to use the damn thing all over again. And they love to say the updates will be seamless, with no bugs. LOL. Microsoft is like that. The end user is their final beta tester. Never...NEVER get the first version of anything MS. And, some of their software isn't retro active. Shit, their last several operating systems weren't retro active.

I have several versions of Adobe Photoshop and Pagemaker. In doing the basics that all versions have...areas where they could be the same...the key strokes are totally different in all versions.

I guess they might think the consumer will complain that they didn't get their money's worth, if software makers don't give them a completely new version. I guess that's possible. I wouldn't complain, though.

On a less distressing note...Manu has the Literotica Retro skin working. Woo Hoo! From what I can tell, that's the skin that most resembles the version we had a couple of years ago. He created it just for us whiny members, who don't like change.

After reading what DVS said I think I need to make some comments.

Yes I really really hate the updates and the changes. But I also understand why they need to be done.

I also realize that although Manu is a easy person to blame it really isn't his fault and when it comes right down to it we have no right to bitch because hey Lit is free.
