Hello, I've tossed my first CHYOO story out there, it's located in the Incest area and the title is -Nieve bride to be- It's a bit lengthy in the intro, but I like to give as much detail as possible. I've always felt it let others feed from it easier and run with it more, so they have a bit to go on.

I sent a PM to a Mod, as I was advised.When I look to my personal info stuff its apporved on the stories part, but pending upon the other one under thread..and I have the same thing with a post ive made..one place it says approved the other pending.Talk about blowing a mind..lol.

Okay thats it..nothing spectacular...but nothing that bad either.

I'm going to go read your story and see if it sparks me to add...

What I've noticed with the approved/pending stuff is in new stories, threads are autoapproved even when the story as a whole is pending. On the other hand, adding a piece to someone elses makes your add on pending while the story as a whole is always approved once it's been approved once.

It seems silly, but I didn't design the site.

-laughs- I'm trying to figure it all out, tis a bit different from the other SRP forum and the other boards i'm currently on. Sparkyman has been dealing with all my questions, and getting me through it all, thank gawd.

Vic, I have one awaiting for approval from the editor of it, I see it there , but can't add on..so I think I understand what you mean.NOTE..I said 'think I understand' -laughs-

If it happens that you should sign in and capitalize your username differently, the system will allow you in, but may not recognize that the threads from "sinful_whispers" should be pre-approved for a story edited by "Sinful_whispers", for example.

Or it could be a different problem. I was listed as a "trusted writer" for a story, but still ended up needing editor approval for a thread I added. Neither I nor the editor figured out why.

Thank you for offering your help Zingiber. I'm getting around chyoo slowly....but surely..things are falling into place, here and there as i hit this button or than button.Wiped a long post out once..lesson learned there real fast! I'm lucky enough to have a good trusting friend that has experience on chyoo, so gave him my password and he went looking to see what was what for me, then explained everything.

I read a post somewhere about not many posting upon the older stories, so I went snooping around through them. Quite a few showed the authors haven't been about for quite a while. In order to bring them back to life, don't they need to appove the posts or can another if their gone? There are quite a few good ones around, but there's no sense posting to them if nobody is around to approve them.Correct?

If a story has been abandoned for long enough (I think the standard is one year), one of our recently appointed corps of writer-moderators has the power to transfer editorship to a Chyoo member who offers to take good care of it.

You might look in the Chyoo Site Feedback forum and scan through the Adopt-a-story program topic to get a sense of how this works.

Not all old stories are abandoned. You might send mail to the editor from their Chyoo profile page to see if they're still active. (This reveals your email address as known by Chyoo to the receiver, if you care).

Thank you again..-smiles- I think I'll check those out, see whats available. I appreciate all the help and information you have given me.I looked over that once before, when i first came over to this area, of course it made sense but I just never went back, perhaps i will and see if any are listed there for saving.
