Is there any form for this or does anything go?

And I suppose you're Snow White?

You know the eighth dwarf was Sleazy. You knew that, right?

Ok, PoeTess. I'm done hijacking your thread. I'm in.

"He'z my Rider"?

Why is Paperback Writer zinging around my head?

May 1st is too long...

Or cuz my brain is cooked?

Were ee's ears burning last night? It's late and I'm reading this great book, Empire Falls by Richard Russo, and theres a character in there that reminds me of Grub anyway, and I got to this scene that so cracked me up that I was afraid to try to continue reading I was laughing so hard.

Thanks for your comments this am. Those are definitely not my best, but I had to post them to get them in here so I could store them. Now how's that for a dumb excuse for shite writing? LOL

I thought the free verse one was the better of the two, but the sonnet was quite good. I wasn't wild about the last two lines because the rest of the poem has an insightful, dreamy quality and then you went for humor. Change the last two lines imho.

And I'll ask whathiseyez about his earzs. :D

So, Tess? Am I good about keeping my nonhijacking promises or what?

Can you think of a nicer place to play? What do you say, Tess?

Tess is speechless! Speechless, I say!

I only suggested a few that came immediately to mind. If you can think of your own invention, go ahead. :D

As Cole Porter once wrote - anything goes.

Post whenever you're ready - May 1st is the deadline. (I need it to stop me from procrastinating)

The only rule I insist on is that the last word in your title be Rider so forget about anything else, sorry.

:rose:

Notice - Ruling revision.

Titles may also have variations of the word "rider" as in "writer", "sider", "lighter", etc.

Deadline May 1st but post here anytime - for those whose muse serves them well.

This sounds like fun...

This sounds like fun! I've always wanted to write a poem with the title `Bareback Rider` so here goes! :nana: Count me in! :)
