The letter "T" is still available so you can take trideciphobia. I'm probably not spelling that correctly but my dictionary is not available and it's close enough for you to get the idea. It's the superstitious fear of the number "13"

But it's not as good to do the number 13 if you're doing the 12th chapter *whines*

Besides, I'd hate to abandon poor, lonely Q.

If there are 12 letters being used, that means there are 14 letters not being usedm so why should "Q" be any more lonely than "Z" or "K" or the other unused letters?

Actually, I just realized that "T" has been taken, It was the first chapter and that is why I didn't see it; there was no post saying "I'll take Tee" because Lizzy stopped licking lizards long enough to pre-empt it.

Aww, well, I think what's more important to be taken is the superstition more than the letter since this isn't really an alphabet chain.

I wonder if there's any superstitions about Quiet. That's a q. And q is the loneliest letter! It just is! It can't really do much without the U. But U can just run off and play with anyone else it wants!

Aww, well, I think what's more important to be taken is the superstition more than the letter since this isn't really an alphabet chain.

I don't know of any but I am sure there are superstitions about queens, quartz, quilts , quests, quills or quarrels.

Q's not lonely. It's been out all night having wild vowel sex with U. The stories will post in the most orderly fashion that Laurel can manage. Since many are using them as Nude Day Contest entries the decision was made to post them as she got them in the best order. As of the last PM to me she had half of them... those will post unless the people that were skipped get theirs in.

haha. So much for "The Haunted Quail" story I was hoping to write. *snorts* I think I created too much sympathy for the letter q. Actually I was kind of pondering some sort of weird superstition where you had to be quiet. Although I don't know, don't you have to be quiet in certan places? Like cemetaries? I read you have to hold your breath while passing a cemetary... I don't know. I have an idea for opals.

My mother told me opals are supposed to be bad luck. There is a rumor to that effect. They trace it back to diamond merchants that were worried about the viability of selling diamonds when put next to the fire and radiance of opals. It's not supposed to be bad luck if it's your birthstone, however. Go figure. Behold the power of marketing. I also saw a story about the myth of it where a Sultan started the rumor so he could buy them off really cheap. But then he became a victim of his own press and sold his opals too.

When my grandmother died, she left behind an opal ring. No one wanted it but me. I was examining it and that's when my mother said they were unlucky. I noticed one of the side diamonds had fallen out and she said, "See? Bad luck!"

And I said, "Or a crap setting...."

But there you go It's just one of the few superstitions I've had a personal experience with.

That is some of the best kind, especially if all partners aere really sorry for the quarrel.

You could write about makeup sex, how a couple quarrels because of some jinx thing one of them does, and they make up and then realize what the jinx was. However, since the makeup sex was so great, instead of eliminating the jinx, the same person does it from time to time so they will quarrel and enjoy the great makeup sex again and again. Just a suggestion.
