When your story posts, you might want to put the link in your first post (so we lazy folk can find your story without having to exert any actual effort), and maybe put a fresh post, letting folks know it's up (which will have the added effect of bumping this thread back up where it'll get seen).
As for getting the most out of the site, how to go about that all depends on why you're here. If you're interested in honing your writing skills, this forum's a good place to start.
