New Author Request Thread

Hi again! Okay, here’s the thread for new requests on the discussion circle. What I’d like in each request is --

1) a link to your story, not the bio page or any listing of all stories. (I forget which one I have to look at in the space of time it takes this old and slow computer to load. *Grins* I should probably get a new computer, but on writer’s wages?!

2) the name of your story.

3) the category your story is in.

4) Save any and all other information for the beginning post on your story’s discussion thread.

I will email the author of each story to be discussed at least a week before the discussion thread is posted. If the beginning author post isn’t made within 48 hours of posting, we’ll move on to the next story.

Please keep this thread to ONLY requests. I’ll post other threads for other purposes.

Just a note -- I pick the stories up for discussion each week by going through the list and finding the next one up. Then I check the last four discussions to see if that person has contributed to them. If not, then I go back and check the next one up, etc, until I find someone who has been contributing. Sometimes this gets a little rearranged due to special circumstances.

I'm not perfect, though, and sometimes I miss someone. If this happens, please feel free to contact me and I'll try to fix it. Thanks!

This may be a little off, since you have been saying only one story at a time, but here goes. I have two stories on the same encounter: one male and one female. I would like feedback on both the stories as stories and the pair of stories as a unit. I suppose you might think of them as chapters in a book told in multiple first person. I'm not quite clear just what parts of the story the
author wants comments on. But here goes:
Before anything else, I thought that the basic idea -- even if it has
been used before -- was sexy. I think that the story works
generally, which is why I deal with particular word
choices.
1 I'd do a search on "started" and ask yourself whether it
is significant that he or she *started* that action. If not,
then just say "I got wet," ratehr than "I started to get wet."
2 There are times when you report what he thought. The narrator
doesn't know this.
 
As per Mickie's instructions, which I *think* I have followed, I'd like to toss this story into the ring. It's my first submission and I would welcome any suggestions about how to improve my writing for future posts.

The story was inspired entirely by fantasies - as much as I would love to live it myself, I can't claim that I have - yet (since posting it, there have been a few offers, but I'm a little concerned about all that extra airport security these days...). Even so, it does incorporate themes that harken to my own predilections - voyeurism, anal, multiple partners, public sex, and the possibility of getting caught.

I have made a conscious decision to eliminate, as much as possible, the usual four-letter words found in so much of this kind of writing. The reason for this is that I think there are more creative and less repetitive ways of getting the message across. I'm interested in hearing other people's opinions about this idea and how you think it affects the eroticism, reality, and flow of the story.

I did send out emails to everyone on the old nomination thread asking if they were still interested. If you sent a reply, then you're on the first bunch we're going to be doing. If you still want your story in the lineup, either sign up here, or send me an email with the info and I'll put it in my quick file at home.

If anyone is signed up on the previous nomination thread, then they'll get first email, first crit kinda service. I want to keep it down to just those authors who still want to participate under the new guidelines. :)
