Marxist doesn't like things "easy".

And sometimes the nearest single person of the opposite sex is a tiny bit too simplisitic for the needs one possess. There are, for example, personally important qualifiers that he has to consider to pair people up in any kinda half-assed fashion. For instance, perhaps one wants someone of ~gasp~ the same sex? Then that whole "grab the nearest single person of the opposite sex" thing just doesn't cover it.
