I joined two days ago and submitted a story. I included context at the top that this is an excerpt from an upcoming novel and it got bounced for that. I didn't realize that was a rule and I'm not upset that I got called out. But here's my issue: i decided to post it here because I've never written a mm scene before but I've been a Literotica stan for over a decade. I know, without the larger context, this constitutes a story that fits here. So my question is, can I just cut the disclaimer and resubmit? I don't want to get banned for spam or something but I genuinely think it would've passed muster if I left off that little piece to begin with.

Snippets to larger works that are behind a paywall elsewhere is considered a teaser and isn't permitted.

If the scene can stand on it's own as a story without reference to the larger work, it should go through fine, but trying to post an excerpt to draw people to buy the novel won't fly.

The rejection notice should have stated a reason. Exactly what did it say?
"While we welcome authors to publish shorter work on Literotica while promoting ebooks or other offsite projects on their profile page, out of respect for reader's feelings, we would rather not publish partial works or excerpts of offsite work as "teasers". Please see our Content Guidelines: https://literotica.com/resources/content-guidelines"
And this is a screenshot of the disclaimer (the only reference to it being from something)

OK. Is it meant to be a teaser for a work published elsewhere or do you intend to continue the story here?

If it's the former, you are out of luck. If the latter, resubmit with "Ch. 01" added to the title and a note stating that it is to be continued on Lit, not elsewhere..
