New Age is a very calm and soothing form of music, that I personally believe is under-appreciated. Does anyone else here enjoy New Age music? I have here a song from Super Mario 64, an old game for the Nintendo 64 system. This is a very interesting New Age song that I think you will all enjoy. It is a streaming audio feed, so just click the link to listen to it. If anyone else has some songs for us to listen to, feel free to post a link here.

I made a istake, the link doesn't work, so please cope this adress into your browser to here the song. Thanks.

Hi DK,

I listened to your feed and the music was nice. Personally, I prefer New Age meets Age Old. ;) For example, the artist Enya; she might be too mainstream, but for me, listening to her removes stress like magic.

Luck to you,

Yui ^_^

I was just going to say that I like it when I need musical valium.

I listen to a lot of stuff that gets misdiagnosed as New Age. A lot of instrumental guitar music. I don't think of it as New Age, I picture New Age as really atmospheric, spacy sounding stuff. All music is good in it's place, though.

I'm not even quite sure what New Age music is. Every time I hear something that someone calls New Age, I want to place it in other musical categories.

That was nice. I agree with Abs on Kitaro. Yanni is also excellent.

I like the asian element. I have Japanese Kubuki music that is very relaxing too.

Kitaro has a nice blend of traditional Japanese and classic sounds.

I also have some music from a Peruvian group, very traditional and very calming.
