I bought the game today. Is it worth it to open it and install on my computer?

yes my sister liked it a lot ... you can play it online too although she never tried that

you tell him april ... kick him out of your thread if he doesnt answer in the count of 3 :p

That's it. I'm puttin' on the Harley boots. I'ma kick some ass around here.

yeah, it worth the install. the single player game left me cold, but with the ability for users to make modules you will find something you like.

It's only a matter of time before I find "The Temple of Elemental Evil", probably the greatest classic D&D module ever written.

Ask Bluesboy2

I accompanied him on his trip to purchase this -- and didn't see him for quite some time afterwards. I believe he really enjoys this game. The graphics looked pretty damn good -- but don't take my word on it, I'm not a gamer.

Never played it. Let me know what you think. I'm still addicted to Unreal Tournament.

It depends on what games you're into. I tried it, and I didn't like it.

Then again, I'm still addicted to DragonRealms after six years, so I'm never really able to get into new games.

DragonRealms? I played that for like 2 months before i quit. But about 4 years ago I played Gemstone 3 for a year. I like them both, but just like graphics better.

Neverwinter Nights is over hyped. They got carried away with the cool graphics, speach and fancy scrolling and left plot and game play behind. The result is something like Dungeon Siege put with a transparent story that gets in the way.

I've not played it in ages. You can try and talk someone into doing something they wouldn't normally do and if you fail (and you know when you fail) you can try again, and again, and again until you get it right. That's just a silly short example but I think it serves to show just how basic some of the errors in the game.

However. If you have the game then why not install it? Will you need to uninstall a favourite? If so then keep the favourite and save NWN until you're bored. I found NWN so prone to crashing that it wasn't funny.

On the other hand, the female bard has a nice sexy leather costume.

Yes, I am a Simutronics fiend. I started on Gemstone, and played for about a year. I was going to try DR when it beta'd, but I never got around to it. I 'found' it again on AOL in the Summer of 96, and never looked back.

They've got a second DragonRealms server now, no GM intervention, pvp is okay. I've quit regular DR since that opened and have been in DR: The Fallen ever since :D

I tried EQ when it came out too, but I stick to graphics on my playstation. Online, I can't break away from the text.

April, its probably woth an install, but definitely download the patch.

If UR into programming you will be challenged by the editor that is part of the package. The built modules which are part of the game is worth a look if UR into fantasy RPG.

It has some unique features. It runs slow on a 900Mhz machine.

Anarchist hello!

I can see you're new. Welcome. You'll probably snort and snarl at me for this but I'm going to offer some advice. This place, despite all the sex, the nude photographs, sex, computer games, sex, webcams and sex is actually a writer's haven. There are loads of people who'll point machine guns at you if you resort to text talk. Rather than "UR" try "you are" or "your". You'll make more friends and have more se... urm, something.

:D

Hmmm...a pvp server? Nice...but what stops higher level people killing us n00bs?

Thanks for the good advice Sixth.

I'll try not to ruffle any feathers.

I got a dictionary around here somewhere....

If I want to say anything big and clever I type it into Word first and cut'n'paste across. For normal chat, like this, I just bash randomly at the keyboard and count on my British education and strange spelling to make it look good. :)

Don't forget to sign up for the Neverwinter Community BB.. it has some good modules being posted and if you need help someone on there can usually help you out.

i been kinda debating this game and another one(will find out tuesday when i go back to work the name, anyway) i'm an Everquest addict, been playing for 1 3/4 years roughly and i still like it,

The reason I'm asking is that the box is still sealed. I can take it back. Once I open it, it's mine. I paid $60 for this, and I'm having second thougts. LOL

I'm not interested in the multiplayer options or module building or internet play or whatever. Just single player stuff. I'm a freakin' hermit when it comes to my games. I don't even like my husband in the same room with me.

I loved Dungeon Siege. Been playing Alien Crossfire ever since it came out. Still addicted to it. It's getting harder and harder to find games that appeal to me. I'm waiting very impatiently for Age of Mythology to come out. Also MOO3. God, I can't wait for that one! :D

i think you'd probably like it april ... maybe check out some online reviews ... it is selling well in my store i work and we havent had many returns on it :)

I'd try it. I'm pretty deep into Elderscrolls III - Morrowind right now. Why do you think you won't like it?

I think it's the price. If it was only $30, I wouldn't have this much nervousness about it. I feel guilty for spending that much money on something. There's no reasoning behind the guilty feeling. It's totally irrational. Heh.

Oh dear. I suppose this puts more emphasis on getting a new video card. I don't think 16 Mb is gonna cut it.

Road trip!! :D
