I'd love to make an actual connection with someone and develop a longer term partnership. This sort of play just doesn't lend itself to short little bursts; sure it can be fun, but you don't ever truly get deep down and into the boundary-pushing, mindfuckingly awesome subspace with those quick one offs. That being said... everything has to start somewhere, yea?

Well... I've been building my own computers since I was 14, have read virtually all of the Star Wars expanded universe, was the #1 board/captain of the chess club in high school -- that should give you a start, no? Is there a particular flavor or interest you're looking for?

Yep, MMOs, TSW in particular. I am wondering if it would be fun to go back to it if I had someone interesting in tow.

Well you might be in luck - I've got more MMO experience under my belt than I'd care to admit, however fell out of them when my friends decided real life was more enticing. I definitely second your thoughts about them (and any game really) being more fun with an interesting party in tow, so to speak. Maybe you'd care to show me the ropes on your pick of the poison? I'd be happy to let you try to bring me back to the dark side~
