Nerds/Techies: Please Help--How do You:

I saw something on the boards that was a poem set with audio, so that the song played as you read it. I have alot of poetry already posted here, and am working on some stories; I want to be able to put it onto disc as Christmas gifts for people, so that the song plays in a loop as you read the piece; and it would be nice to have a different song linked to each piece, maybe in its own file? If it is difficult to do, I would be glad to pay someone to put it together for me. Also, I have bought a website and am looking for someone to build it--will pay. PM me, please? Or if there is a link for diections on how to do this, plesae post it on this thread--I think this is cool enuf alot of authors would go for it. Even the horror and porn writers--mood music would really add to the experience.

Maybe the easiest way to do this would be to make the poems into what is basically a website, then embed the audio into the page, or a flash player.

As to building a website....

My suggestion would be to use a CMS (Content Management System) like Joomla, which essentially gives you a word processor to edit your website.
A little more complex to set up initially, requires a database, etc....but it can be updated by anybody, rather than needing to call your web designer to add in a new page for one more poem.

The guys in my sig are somebody I've used to set up a website before, and that's exactly what they've used for me. Took a bit of convincing before I went with it, but I'm glad I did, because now I can add whatever I want, and don't have to pay somebody to update for me.
