Nellie of the Naughty Nineties (the 1890s, that is)

For quite some time, I've wanted to do some porn fiction set in the 1890s-1900s, depicting the sexual awakening of a "Gibson Girl".

As the title suggests, my protagonist is Nellie Van Hornee, a young society girl with a peculiar understanding of this "saving herself for marriage" business.

A description of this sexy bimbo:
"Nellie of course was exceedingly pretty, with her reddish blonde hair, her big blue eyes, her delicious red lips and her innocent dimples. She was also as curvy as an hourglass, her short stature enhancing her voluptuous figure."

The setting is 1899-1900 New York City, and thus I've considered doing scenes dealing with "El mashers" (period term for subway dry-humpers), the 23rd St. (infamous for lifting skirts), the "Florodora Girls" (a popular stage play of the day), one of the "Rough Riders" (Col. Roosevelt's troops in Cuba), "horseless carriages", bicycles with faulty seats, "moving pictures" and "debutante balls". While the first encounter between Nellie and her future husband develops in a park.

The general tone is that of a sex farce (think of the "Josefine Mutzenbacher" movies) with some romantic comedy thrown in.

The work has some aspects some might find un-PC, such as Nellie being a teenager, but you have to consider that's how things were at the time. Admittedly, I've taken a few liberties, by having the girls using 1940s-50s lingerie (bullet bras and high-waist panties) with corsets.

Here's a sample of a sex scene, between Nellie's cousin Missy Van Horne and her fiance's coachman:
"- Do you think someone'll find us here? wondered the coachman.
- I don't care, said Missy while playfully twirling her parasol, this is not the first time they screw me in public. All the girls in Paris do it.

The coachman then got behind Missy and held her tight humping his manhood against her beautiful derriere. He then dropped her skirt and petticoats and opened his trousers. Missy then closed her parasol and held to it, bent over and dropped her lace panties. Then, the coachman began penetrating her arousing butthole, at first with a gentle rhythm that was punctuated by Missy's soft moans, her orgasms becoming louder and higher-pitched as the pace quickened. Finally, the coachman pulled his stick and ejaculated over Missy's precious buttocks, with some of it dropping to her stockings and boots.

While Missy put on her panties back, the coachman complimented her, mentioning that had been his best fuck in a long time. She then knelt at him and began licking his pecker as if it were candy.
"

I hope you enjoy this premise and can give some help. Thanks beforehand.

This is very specific. You are more likely to be able to write this yourself.

Relatively few Lit authours "write to order", and even they tend to have a particular style or genre they prefer.

If you are determined NOT to try this yourself, you might try PMing a writer who does period pieces, but that is far from reliable.

What he said.

Oh my god I agreed with sirhugs, hell froze over.

I will mention that panties are a fashion invention come up with in the 1920's. Before then there were shorts that women wore during that time of the month, any other time they are not wearing a single thing under the dress.

Bras were around longer than that however not worn that much because they enhance the breasts, which makes most consider you a whore. Which doesn't mean they were worn in brothels, just not worn much at all.

Petticoats were worn under the ball dress because the way they are designed you got to look under the dress. Picture a woman wearing the huge expanded skirt coming down stairs, the skirt either rises up because of the steps, or is pressed into her ass so the front sticks out. Means her legs are on display, which is not to be done with naked legs because legs are not to be shown off. Which is why dresses were so long.

I have always thought of Hell as a cold frozen wilderness.:kiss:

I must admit that the fact someone would want to write an accurate erotic period piece would pretty much freeze Heck to Artic-level temperatures, as well as make pigs fly, and make the Detroit Lions win the Super Bowl. Let's face it, aside from those German porn films from the 70s and 80s (Sensational Janine), historical sex works are horribly inaccurate with the lingerie, namely "bikini bottoms", something I really want to avoid in here.

Speaking of undies, women in the 19th century wore "bloomers" or "open drawers", which actually were open on the back and down to the crotch. One friend of mine elsewhere said that kind of lingerie actually made it easier for the girls to have some fun...

And actually, I read one user around here had wanted to do an Edwardian-era erotic story, but doesn't allow PMs.

This is still a hot premise, though! I, for one, don't think I would be good at period pieces, but find it hot to have stories set it "more innocent" times and "expose" the naughty underbelly. ;)

I don't think you need to be a stickler for historical accuracy to write a successful period piece. Most people aren't familiar with all the details; you just need to know a little bit more (or sound like you do) than your readers.

Personally, I think the Victorian era would be a perfect setting for a sexual romp. Everything and everyone was so straitlaced in those days (at least in public) that naughtiness would be lurking around every corner. And anyone who has read a decent amount of Sherlock Holmes would know all they need to know to write it believably.

It depends on the reader...

I have written a LOT of historical erotica, and in fact I was paid for awhile to write Pulp Erotica Stories that took place prior to 1950...

As a writer, I found the research was as much fun as writing the story, but I admit that is my personality. While I know when pantalettes became panties...for most readers it does not matter, so all is not lost if the details are not there.

But for writers who like history; of for sure Historical Erotic Fiction can be a lot of fun to write!

I was not familiar with some of the terms and so I did a little research on it...

I am not fully sure this is what you are after, and while I hesitate to call myself an expert on the subject, I wrote a lot of pulp erotica stories, and I think that is what you are after.

There are really two flavors of pulp erotica. The first is more typical, and that is of the quintessential "damsel in distress", the helpless Gibson Girl, bound to the tracks that is saved by the Detective on the hunt for the killer of the last poor damsel in distress.

But the other style of story, though not quite as popular, is where the woman is the villain. She is the axe-murder, and out for revenge.

Both are typically written from the 1930's-1950's, but could go back as far as 1890 if you wished. I have also written both types of stories (woman-villain and damsel in distress), and about evenly split 50/50.

Well, the girl is neither one or the another. She's more of the bombshell seductress type, always ready to have fun with gentlemen behind the facade of a sweet, dainty young lady. The tone is also more of a comedy instead of a thriller.
