About 8 years back, a wealthy entrepeneur named Sandra Beck purchased a small island in the South Pacific, which she dubbed Neko-Neko Island. Her aim was to create a resort unlike anything else. The construction effort took two years, but when it was finally completed, she had a working island resort.
The Paradise Hotel and Visitor's Center stands as the main complex on the east end of the island. Scattered in its shadow are various small shops, restaurants, service kiosks, and a few beach bungalows. The wilderness of the island remains largely untouched, and the resort offers several tour services through the thick jungles as part of an adventure package.
There's never a shortage of things to do at the island, as the staff have events going constantly throughout the day and night. Tiki parties, games, contests, and even entertainment of a more adult nature are all common occurrences.
The feature that distinguishes the resort the most and is the source of its name is the fact that Miss Beck chose to staff the resort entirely with attractive young catgirls. This gimmick alone has made the Neko-Neko Island Resort something of a legend. More than a few guests have come to the island based purely on a full-color brochure.
However, as our story opens the island is facing something of a crisis. A powerful tropical storm has just struck the mainland coast and will hit the island in a matter of days. In anticipation, the island harbor has been closed so as not to risk any ships that will inevitably have to cross the storm's path and emergency services are being bolstered. Several guests find themselves now stranded on the island longer than they were expecting, while others now find their vacations being cut short by the danger of the storm.
The staff are still endeavoring to keep everyone entertained and events still continue as planned, though there is an air of edginess to everyone now.
For this thread, we obviously need catgirls to play the resort staff. Outside of that, we need vacationers and guests, and possibly a few mainlanders here to help with preparation for the storm.
Staff would of course include tour guides, maids, chefs, event organizers, performers, life guards, maintenance, bartenders, wait staff, and clerks among other things.
