Neighbour Day

My city has declared today to be Neighbour Day.

It is supposed to build a "strong and caring community" by "celebrating unique and diverse neighbourhoods". Suggested activities include sending a card to say thank you to a neighbour, hosting a driveway dance party or concert that allows people to maintain social distancing, and decorating windows or yards in a common neighbourhood theme.

I don't know about you, but I have a few neighbours I wouldn't mind getting to know better*.

Gotta be potential for Lit stories here.

*see for example Suzie From Across the Street- purely fictional, and name changed to Suzie, but based on my real imagination.
