I have been looking for this story for quite some time now.
The story is about a young (college student?) man who falls im love with his neighbor who is recently crippled. The neighbor and man's "mother" are best friends. He finds out that the woman he believes is his mother isnt really his birth mother. His parents divorce, and he, his neighbor and his mother move in together.
