I'm working on a story, and I'm stuck. The heroine is doing a little meet-and-greet after a presentation. The hero had been sitting beside her, flirting prior to, and he's now packing up his things (legal pad, pen, etc. Imagine just a few little things here). He's going slowly, wanting to make sure he's not ready to leave a moment before she is so they can talk for a few more minutes on their way out. At the same time, he doesn't want to just be standing around twiddling his thumbs, being obvious about his delay in leaving. So, he's being obviously slow about packing up his things, but saying that ("...obviously slowly") seems trite, as well as, well, too adverbial.
I know there's a word out there that means just that, but for the life of me, I can't bring it to mind. My first inclination was "ostentatiously," but that means "showy" or "flamboyant," which doesn't work here. Help!!!
