I have a story written and have done about as much damage as I can do to it. I need someone to help me with advice, corrections, or whatever is appropriate. This could be anything from 'round file it' to some constructive suggestions. I just can't objectively look at my own first piece and know whether it is total crap or worth going forward with.
The story is about an over sexed couple who are having problems with static electricity. It is about 2600 words. MS Word doesn't complain about it too much, and not really sure about punctuation. If I told you how long it has been since I was taught grammar, you'd realize I could replace the 'over 18' with a much larger number. I'm not overly concerned with that unless it is going to detract from the story.
If any of you have time to take on a noob with a story of unknown quality, let me know. I will send the volunteer a copy and see where it goes.
BTW, after trying this, I have a lot of respect for anyone who has gone this route with good or bad results and even more for those who seem to be able to crank out a good chapter every week or two.
