Need of editors for Sci-Fi&Fantasy (In a near future)

Hello.

I'm currently working on a fantasy story set in an original universe (at least should be one of my own, I sure hope because it would be waste of hours if it wasn't). I haven't had any stories published, neither erotica nor normal fiction.

The story I need editoral help for will be of the Sci-Fi&Fantasy genre, with little, if any of all, explicit sex-scenes (if there is any, it will hetero in this storyline, I might do something else in another storyline). It will however rely heavily on the romance part. The reason why I write it for LitErotica, is that I find it would be best fitting for that kind of audience. And it's somewhere I can publish it without any real expenses.

As of right now, the story is on 2500 words, which will most likely be a little percentage of the total. The story will be quite long, maybe full-fledged novel, I don't know really. The story is a side-project of mine that I can spend time on while creating another fantasy universe I plan on writing in. At the same time it will hopefully hone my skills as a writer, and keep the romantic side of my soul out of the other world I'm working at, as it will be dark fantasy. But that's a sidetrack.

While the story might be a side-project, I take it seriously, and knowing my limits, I will need some editors to help me.

1 x General read-throughs, feedback on storyline, character, readibility and flow of story (Female)
1x Full grammar/spelling check (This is the tough one, while my grammar has been described as okay, it's far from perfect, and I'll defintely need help here)

Maybe some more, but for the moment this is what I need. What the editors need to understand is it will be a lot of work, but I'm a patient person and got no deadline, except my own daily deadline of 500 words on workdays, and 1500 words in weekends. Also I want editors who like the story, not just some looking for getting credit. I will of course give full credits to all my editors.

I will send out feelers to the editors I would like to work with, but as nothing in life is certain except tax and death, I'm open to getting other editors than those I prefer.

Also note that the story will contain explicit violence and harsh scenes, but I aim for something that will be readable by most people (Hence why both a male and female editor).

When working with editors, I'm open to suggestions on everything, though if it's something major I might need a few good reasons why I have to change that. Other than that I can't think of something else I need to inform about.

Oh, right my biggest problem might be I tend to get wordy, as you can see from this post, I guess it's a bit longer than most? :D

Edit:

Seems I forgot something, for the editor correcting my grammar, the language will be UK English

Edit #2:

That was the male editor, now just for the female editor and the one that will make the story readable :D

There are others far better suited for the grammar and spelling, but I'll certainly be willing to read and offer my thoughts. My stories are all listed in my sig if you want to give them a quick scan.

Hey Darkniciad

Thanks a lot for the reply, and I would be delighted to have you as one of my editors (Funny how things work out, you were on the short list of editors I had checked out I would love to work with).

I plan on having the first few chapters ready for a read through by Friday. I feel like you need more than just a few thousand word, more like 5000 to see where the story is going. But at the same time not so much it cannot be changed if a new direction of the story is needed.

The way I write is I got a general plot line and know where the story will end. I know the main characters, and then I just write all in between, so sometimes I might get side-tracked a little because of a new inspiration source etc. But sometimes what happens surprises even me a little :D

As said, I look forward to working with you.

We may just be the perfect match, because that's almost exactly how I write *laugh*

The darkness won't bother me, either. I'm no stranger to bad people doing bad things without glossing over it. Looking forward to it, because I don't get a chance to work with someone on stories that are in my sort of world very often.
