Need Info about "Mules"

I am writing a story about a high-class vixen (say, a prime-time Morgan Fairchild or Demi Moore) who is blackmailed into working as a (anal) mule; smuggling drugs or money or contraband. Need some info on how this works: logistics, details, would some sort of tube be used for money or jewels, whatever…

Also, my first drafts are a little repetitious. Any ideas that will help my get out of the rut will be helpful.

You know how they say the most erotic part of the body is the brain? Well, your scenario certainly gave me a little squick of pleasure. The concept of a high-class lady being forced to smuggle something in her anus is kind of hot in a story sense. From there it could go in different directions, i.e. turning the tables.

Sorry I can't help with the best ways to operate as a drugs mule, that's outside of my area of expertise, although I believe a condom is a starting point for most muling.

The idea of a high classed anal mule does sound fun, although I have to admit I've read a few stories like that. I have some experience working with gang and drug related individuals at a summer job I had back in college.

However, I'm somewhat reluctant to share the information openly, partially because it's a little bit of a guide to commit illegal activities.

I will tell you this much:

I would have to say, that the most common vessel for internal storage is a condom. which makes sense if you think about it.

I have never heard of people smuggling money, as in cold hard cash, internally. It doesn't make any sense. You can't hide any significant amount of money inside a person. Body packing, which is external, was something that happened more than 20 years ago, but almost no one mules physical bills anymore. There are just too many better ways, especially electronically, and at least in the US, after 9/11 its almost impossible to get away with. If you are going to smuggle physical bills, its usually not on a person across a border, but shipped in crates or tunnels or the like.

Keistering gems, on the other hand, I've heard of. In addition to cocaine, Colombia produces the majority of the world's emeralds, and it isn't unheard of for cartels to own interests in both lucrative ventures. After all, fine emeralds are worth more per carat then diamonds. Smuggling jewels and gems are two different things. Gems refer to the rocks themselves, either cut or uncut; jewelery refers the the piece that is worn, so a necklace, or earring or whatnot. Smuggling gems is a lot more common that jewelery, mostly because jewels are very traceable, and therefore usually worth pennies on the dollar in the black market. Gems, especially uncut are extremely valuable, partially because they are the opposite of jewelery, very hard to trace. They can be smuggled the same why drugs are but, like money, they tend not to be, because there are better methods.

Some dangers of muling include rupture, of course, in the case of drugs that almost always results in massive overdosing. In the case of gems, its a little safer but the rocks may get stuck or cut the insides of the rectum and cause internal damage. Also, a lesser discussed fact is swallowing or keistering significant quantities causes discomfort, urination/defecation control problems, abdominal swelling and other symptoms. This could hold some potential for your story.

Also, make sure the blackmail is good and solid. There is a reason why the vast majority of mules are volunteers, if you have the contraband inside of you, what's to stop you from going to the authorities with the evidence and a eyewitness testimony all rolled into one neat package.

PS. In my mind at least, the natural evolution of this should explore figging at some point.
