I have A close friend who needs some advice from us caring Literotica fiends. Please add your 2 cents. I'll try and be brief. Nikki came to see me yesterday, been on my mind since, Can't think of what to tell her, that's why I need your help. She's been married for 13 years to a man her family and most of her friends think is the best thing since they discovered ice cream. cept me, I think he's A (spoiled Jackass) He took her and her kids in when they were 12 and 13, And he did raise them with no help from their father, I will give him that. So for 13 years she's felt like she owes him something. In front of other people hes the good husband who gave her A nice home and new computer, well everything in the house is really nice. She's got all her Pagan and fantasy crystal, Which he only buy's when he feels guilty. Because Iv'e never ever heard him say i'm sorry in the 12 years iv'e known him. He has A very good memory and works it to his own advantage. He blows up at her constantly, brings things up from years ago, for instance, He can tell her she called him A prick 10 years ago on a Monday at 3:00. He's really good at that. He gets right in her face, nose to nose and screams at her for things that happened a lifetime ago. They have A best friend they met about 5 or 6 years ago. they are inseprable. He's been their roommate for over A year now. Nikki and Roomie were ran off the road about 2 weeks ago, the cop said it was lucky they didn't roll the vehicle because they would have been killed. She was pretty shook up so she called hubby on her cell. Out of the blue, for no reason he blew up and told her that they should have died so they could be together forever. :( Now, her and roomie been deeply in love for A couple of years but never acted on it because their good Pagans and don't beleive in hurting anyone. and they are both strong beleivers of monogomy. As long as there just hurting themselves by not being together their fine. She tries to be A good wife even if she is misrable. Her heart belongs to Roomie. Anyway, he's always calling her names and telling her shes no good and such. But since he wished her dead,(naughty Pagan) Things are really heart breaking, He comes home and checks her cell and the house phone to see who she called or who called her, he watches her constantly. if she walks out of the room it's where are you going what are you doing? One minute he is really nice so she lets her guard down and when she does he is in her face all over again. Since he alienated her from friends and family she has no where to go if she leaves, A couple of years ago she was diagnosed with A potentially deadly desease. She can't work has no means of self support. And has to see Specialists and her regular Doc, takes 6 different medications three times A day. She definatley can't afford all of that. Doc say's NO STRESS, well, she alway's is stressed. Her platletts get low and her very sexy body goe's haywire. She has lost lots of weight and her platletts being low causes bruises to show up all over her body. She looks so sick right now. He doesn't seem to care though. She tries to talk to him about it and he refuses to talk about it. He won't even let her tell him her last wishes, For Goddess sakes, What's he going to do throw her in a hole somewhere? And even if they seperate or divorce her and roomie will not be together for at least A year, Because they don't want to hurt anyone or prove jackass right. We used to call those three tic tac & toe, now it's tic tac & no. It's really sad, but I think her and roomie are the opitimy of the word soulmates. Me being so close to them, speaking of Nikki and Roomie, can see their hearts are breaking for each other. Damn the values we are instilled with!!!!!!!! She's home alone all the time, Hubby works from 4:00 PM till 4 or 5 Am, Roomie is gone all week. She just wants out, she has no where to go and she's afraid to ask him to leave, she does'nt know what his reaction will be. The last time she tried to leave, They went for A drive to talk and on the freeway going 45 or 50 he just slams on the brakes and goes into A total spin into oncoming traffic. She was so scared she went home with him and never mentioned it again. I'm so confused:confused: at what to say to her, She's A good person and so lonesome, hubby both ignores and avoids her. I think it's been A marriage of convieniance. He likes the fact that she's pretty hot lookin and he's afraid his short fat ass won't find anyone else. He treats her like A toy, he get's bored and she goes back on her shelf to wait for the next time. She feels like life is passing her by, She wants to live and enjoy life like it's her last day everyday, not to keep wishing it was her last day to live. What can I say to her?? any ideas???????? To bad grey magick is a no no!!!!!! So anyone got any ideas for this poor depressed girl?

So anyone got any ideas for this poor depressed girl?

First off, a few paragraph breaks edited into your post will get you more answers.

If I managed to pick out the pertinent information, it sounds like your friend is in an abusive relationship -- he may not be beating her, but that isn't the only way to abuse someone.

The only solution to an abusive realtionship is to end it. Minor details like where to go, medical expenses, how to eat, etc, are just that -- Minor Details.

As far as her relationship with"roomie" -- screw whether hubby is proven "right" or not. Both of them should move out and be happy together.

Even if it's asked for, do not give any advice either way. Give support but not advice. If she's going to leave then she'll do it no matter what you say. If you suggest leaving and she stays, then she'll always remember it.

If he actually acts like this, then why does everyone else think he's so great?

Your right about paragraph breaks but I was in A hurry, I'm sure some of the spelling sucks too. I agree with your answer, I think she and roomie deserve to be happy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks slowhand89 Everybody thinks he's great because of the material things he gives her. And, he doesnt act like that around and anyone but her and roomie. Well, I take it back, I see it too.

Mental abuse hurts more and longer than physical. It just doesn't leave visible marks. I have known a couple of women in this type of relationship, and they didn't think of leaving until the relationship became physically dangerous. I don't know if you should advise her personally, but surely there is some organization nearby that offers counselling to abused women. Find out who she should talk with, and take her there. They can be objective where you can't, and have much more experience in these matters. Some even have safe, temporary housing available. The important thing is for her to get away from this jerk. If she wants to move in with roomie, she should. Life is too short for one to stay in a miserable situation.

Sorry, Greeneyes. Lit logged me out again. The post from "unregistered" is mine.

At the bottom right of each post is a button labeled "EDIT" -- you cn use that to go back and add some paragraph breaks The post doesn't go away while your'e editing it so you could still get some responses while you're editing.

Well, i'm not the type of person to just sit down and take stuff like that. There are things she can do within what she believes in. She can make him see what he is, there just alot of things that can be done.

anyway i will send her many love glos

What? No more advice or answers. cmon people, I want to know what you have to say........
