Need Help Finding a Story - Polyamorous rel. husband, wife + 2 sisters
I read a story a few months ago that I want to read again.
In the story a husband and wife visit the wife's sister and her husband. The sister and her husband live in the foothills of the mountains, Colorado maybe?
So the sister's husband is terminally ill and early in the story he dies.
The main character husband and his wife continue to stay with her widowed sister there and all three are planning a hike/camping trip into the mountains. For some reason the wife is ill or has an injury so the widowed sister and the husband go alone.
Along the trip the husband and widowed sister fuck again and again.
When they get home, days later, the wife confesses that she and her sister (the widow) talked about it before hand and were okay with it.
So the three of them then embark on a polyamorous relationship.
As the story continues, a 3rd sister to the two women visits and she joins the polyamorous relationship.
There are also two or three dogs in the story. The dogs are not central to the story but they are mentioned several times.
Any ideas on the story title and author's name?
