Need an editor

Two stories that need editing, nothing crazy just a good second set of eyes. Any suggestions on editors that have worked well for you?

Good free editors are very difficult to find and even harder to keep. The time commitment is much higher than you think, usually requiring 3 to 4 passes over each story. If you find one, bend over backwards to acknowledge their work. It's as valuable as the writing itself.

Agree 100%. Im new on here and realizing how hard it is to find help. Oh well frowing pains I guess.

I have have found several editors they say they will work on some of my works. I have yet to hear back from any of them after I attached my story to them. At the very least they should contact me and tell me my work goes beyond what they normally do.
with no feedback, I can not learn what common mistakes I am making. I feel feedback from one of my stories would be better for me to learn than random examples in the writers resources.

I finally got my stories up, after three rewrites. I'm with you not sure how I can learn what I'm doing wrong if no one's going to show me or talk to me. Had a few show interest...I sent off the work and then nothing after that. Growing pains again I guess.
