need an editor for a teacher/student story

The way to get an editor is....first of all, have you tried looking at the Volunteer Editor's list Here? Then if you have, have you tried looking at the Alternate Editor's list Here?

Last but not least, maybe you should post in this thread what your story is about, what kind of help you're expecting from the editor etc..

If all this fails, send me a PM in a few days and I'll try to either take a look at your story or I'll contact some people to see if someone can take you on.

I would be happy to take a look at it for you, if you have not already found someone else. I edit for grammar, limited spelling, style, plot, character development and consistency.
