Need Advice on Where to Submit New Story

Submitted our first story several months ago in the "Loving Wives" category. It was a MMF bisexual theme. In asking for feedback here after it was out, at least one person advised that the "Loving Wives" section can be pretty rough sledding for bi-sexual content.

The next one involves the same characters, but taking some of the other advice we received we have tried to develop them a bit more. Specifically, the story tries to look at the inner feelings and emotions the two male members of the threesome face as they discover that they are "falling in love". However, there is also a sex scene involving the female. This is a "romance" in some regards as the main theme is the budding love, but the main characters are two bisexual men.

So, should it go in "Gay", "Loving Wives" or "Romance"? (or trash?). We are thinking "gay" but are not sure if the bisexual scene with the female would be unappreciated there. It really does look at the love issue, but the readers of "romance" would probably just skip over it. Any advice?

Jeeze...I would lean towards Gay first and Romance second.

I would suggest putting a quick author's note at the top pointing out the M/M interaction. Though it won't stop everyone who doesn't like that from complaining, at least they can't say that they weren't warned. You don't have to give away much, just something like "Note: This story contains M/M scenes"

I would agree with Dark - posting a note in a category where you may not be completely meeting readers' expectations (or where readers have differing expectations) is a good idea. And that Laurel person, too, seems to know what she's doing . . .

If the relationship being developed is overwhelmingly one between males, I think there's functionally only one category on this Web site to maximize readership for it--Gay Male. I really don't think that gay male readers look into any other category here for a read. If it's strongly bisexual, I guess the Group Sex category would be the right one (but, again, I don't think anyone looking for a gay male read will look in any category here other than Gay Male).

A big thanks to everyone who took the time to offer their opinions.

It sounds like the two best options are; Group Sex or Gay.
To be honest, haven't spent much time in the Group Sex category, but it makes sense. Will definitely spend some time there before submitting the story.

It would be nice if others besides gay males would read it, they already know that two people of the same gender can fall in love. With that in mind the broader audience of the "Group Sex" category makes sense.

The two men in the story have confused "lust" for "love", and when confronted with the deeper emotions of "love", they then have to work through how to deal with that. In summary, they face as much inner conflict at the realization that they love another man as they had faced when they first realized that they lusted sexually for another man.The one scene with the female is to establish that these are guys who are in love with a woman, then she goes on a trip. This leaves the two men alone together for the first time, etc...

The whole exercise is to try to write something more than a "stroke" story. That was one of the predominate critiques about the first story.

My guess, from the e-mails I get on stories, is that a lot of women readers read/vote in the Gay Male category. From the few GM stories I thought were misplaced from the GM category, I've gathered that gay males don't read outside that category much at all.

Deleted earlier version of story

Hi Laurel, I member Darvinda, By a confused mistake, I submitted 3 version of a story's final chapter title the Cumming of the Sexcubus Ch. 5,they are pending approval. I corrected somethings and submitted a revised version Sexcubus' Endgame, I'm trying to delete the 3 earlier versions before they are approval for posting. I have included a note on the final version stating my request, I have written to the Webmaster and a private email to you and Manu. I'm sorry for the mix up, and will do better in the future.
