I was married for 23 years and am divorced and single now for two years. What are women looking for in a 49 yro single man these days. It took me until now to be mentally prepared to even start looking for a new mate.

well even though i have been married 25 years, what i like in a man, is someone who is kind, generous (not just with money but with his time and his heart) someone who is not a football (and or other sport nut) to the exclusion of everything else, someone who can laugh at themselves and does not take life too seriously, your only on the roundabout of life once make the most of it, and PLEASE no crass stupid chatup lines ie "you must be tired you have been running through my mind all night" errrgh women do not want to hear that...for me personally i wanted a man to just talk to me about anything and everything we have a brain too you know and dont just talk about shopping or the latest movie star.... blergh boring subjects.

just have the belief in yourself and you will be fine....good luck ......krys
