You know, one of those things that supposedly erases your internet tracks completely? How effective/safe are they? And, where would I find a good free one? :)

Evidence Eliminator is got to be the best one on the market today. But if you get it be sure and read all the information it contains because you can screw up your machine quick if you do not.

Now the bad news is none of them get it all. All operating systems keep and hide everything you do and it can only be deleted in true dos mode. Of all the platforms out there Windows 98 has got to be the best and easiest. You can delete 95% of everything it hides from you that your washer doesn't get.

The only operating system that does not hide everything you do is Linux, but the bad news is it is hard to use if you know nothing about it.

If you have ant questions pm me.

Just to let you know a few ways that you can really get rid of all the past files for internet traffic. It does require a bit of computer savy though. But here are a few hints.

1. Make sure that you erase all the cookies, files and history. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer it goes like this... Tools...Internet Options...General tab
2. You can enter into Windows Explorer and manually erase the files, but you have to be able to view all files, even the hidden ones. But where the files are stored depends on the version that you are running.
3. Also, just to let you know, there are other programs that keep records of things that you have opened. Most of them allow you to set the number of past files that it keeps. Generally you can set it either at zero or one.

If you want to, tell me what your OS is and I can try to help you some more or looking into buying an OS manuel. There are some great tips that you use in dealing with your OS.
