Everyone with a degree and no experience starts as an amateur.

Although here is one great question no one thinks about anymore. And it was originaly posted in a Holly Lisle writin book back in the mid 90s.

A good story will work in any setting. IE if its a good "western" , it will work out as a fine "fantasy" and vice versa.
