Neanderthal DeSantis makes covid passports illegal....infringing on businesses rights

All businesses in Florida, he wrote, “are prohibited from requiring patrons or customers to provide any documentation certifying COVID-19 vaccination or post-transmission recovery to gain access to, entry upon, or service from the business.”

No shirt, no shoes, no service.

Businesses have a right to decide who is safe to serve and who is not...covid digital cards are a very efficient way to do this and also keep the public protected from these low intelligence slimbags who would rather see us all dead for the sake of "Liberty".

Too bad this executive order by DeSantis has no teeth... businesses will be using a digital covid card because it makes perfect economic sense.

DeSantis is a moron. He is a discredit to Neanderthals.

Neanderthals were smarter than him.

He's your typical Repug, always screaming about infringement of rights, yet stepping on everyone else's rights.

It's a slippery slope. You could add all sorts of other conditions to the "passport."

It's just a precursor to the 1984 scenario...

What y'all seem to be saying is that you are against privacy
and in favor of massive government control of your activities
based upon the status of your passport. You do know that ...

... that is exactly what they are doing in Communist China.

Everyone has a "conformity" score and it determines
which activities you can engage in or if you
need to be put into a reeducation camp.

Additionally, only people have rights.
Businesses only have privileges
which can be revoked...

The government isn't doing anything. It would be private businesses choosing how they run their private companies. The executive order holds no power over private businesses.

Being a private company does not give you carte blanche
to behave in anyway that you want.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this resistance is based not upon the act
or the Science but upon the party of the Governor.

If he were a Democrat then there would be
a celebratory sense of liberty defended.

Would we support an expanded passport that accounts for all sorts of other conditions?

I think that both major parties would be very disinterested in such a sweeping scheme.

We do not put yellow armbands with a symbol on our citizens to distinguish their status.
This is pretty much the same thing. Up until this idiotic idea, when you went into
any establishment, especially medical, THEY TOOK YOUR TEMPERATURE...

THAT will more properly establish if you may have Covid.

Private companies need to follow laws. DeSantis is virtue signaling.

Cite the law that he is flouting by "virtue signaling."

Youre seriously asking me to cite a law that private businesses have to follow laws?
DeSantis is virtue signaling. If he was serious about this he would propose legislation that would prohibit businesses from asking about vaccines.

Well you came in here with full confidence of contention.

I'm just speculating as to where this self-assuredness came from.

Clearly it's not form your knowledge of the law,
so I suspect, as posited before,
it's his PARTY...

You'd be wrong. And as the board's supposed resident libertarian you should be up in arms over this.

He can't because DeSantis is his butt buddy REPUBLICAN.

Ad hominem

Not a valid rebuttal to anything.

Even the guy you're talking to has acknowledged that I am a Libertarian.

As such, I don't think this passport is anything other than an infringement on individual liberty.

The fact that Democrats don't, because you know, REPUBLICANS, scare the living bejesus out of me.

You'd be wrong. And as the board's supposed resident libertarian you should be up in arms over this.

And as a good comrade of the DNC you should support the state authority over the liberty of individuals and ESPECIALLY over commerce. :D

What's wrong? Problem with some "common sense" regulations??

What are you a fuckin' Trumpster??

I love how all of a sudden all these socialist and highly socialistic leftist, suddenly have a problem with government regulating commerce...LOL

It's almost as funny as their total aversion to and condemnation of democracy in Georgia.

As the resident communist against democracy how would you rank this?
