Nauseous-ly Bored * Home with the Flu

I hate this.

I've spent a great deal of time in the bathroom the past several days.

And no, not for long bubble baths.

I'm weak as the proverbial kitten and tired of coping with the medium grade temperature I still have and can't take medicine for 'cause I'll just puke it up.

I think I may be almost through this (and my husband has been great) but I'm afraid our kids will catch it and I don't want them to be miserable, too.

On the up side? I think I've lost 6 pounds.

Which I will gain back as soon as I eat something so I guess that pretty much sucks, too.

I'm going to go lay back down on the couch now - dizzy from sitting up - and I think I'll be more comfortable feeling sorry for myself while I'm prone.

;)

Have some virtual hugs from me as well and a "well done" for your husband.

Og

Thanks, Svenska & Og (and I'll pass on kudos to my hubby as well).

Virtual hugs are very nice -

and very safe from germs!

:)

Here is a sack of "poor babies."

(That's when someone strokes your forehead and says, "You poor baby," repeatedly. I don't know about you, but men and dogs love that.)

Poor baby.

Poor baby.

Poor baby.

Etcetera.

My ex-wife was like that in the first few days of each pregnancy.

So maybe good/bad news.

Is there anything nicer than being pampered? Thank you she!

No - no - no. Been there, done that!

We have one child of each flavor, and hubby has already had the big 'V' - we're done!

(but thanks for the - um - frightening thought! LOL)

Hi Sarah,

How about lying on the couch with a bottle of Late Harvest Coteaux du Layon ?
So far, I've known no better medecine against the flu...

Crossing my fingers for a quick recovery... ;)

I've always heard that you should have a large cognac when you have the flu.

It won't make you well again, but it will make it more fun to be sick!:)

Cognac is nice too although I have a little bit of a preference for Armagnac...
At least it makes you forget you're sick :D

Armagnac...

Ordering some now in preparation. Thanks, French hombre. You seem cool for a Frenchie ;) .

Perdita

p.s. Sarahh: smooches and hugs...

I'll put some of the homemade chicken soup aside for you. It's all yours once your stomach starts to recover.

*hugs*
Whisp :rose:

Ay Perdita ! :D

You're welcome.
Cool for a Frenchie.... How am supposed to take this...
Ok, I take it the cool way... Thanks ! :D

My sympathy, although sympathy ain't going to do you
any good right now. But neither is anything else that
can travel though the Internet, and neither is much
that can't.

A virtual hug, which is the only kind you'll want
right now.

Thank you everyone!

Tea and sympathy work very well (and a little brandy too - LOL!)

I'm feeling better - glad to be back among friends and playing around on the AH!
