I’m know how librarians love a good romance novel, and I suspect there may be many lurking on Lit - So... let’s start a new thread where we have the opportunity to experience the magic of intimacy, erotica and fantasy - from inspiration and ideation to iteration... all in a safe and comfortable setting.

Hopefully this thread will evolve to enhance our continuing exploration, growth and personal experience and deliver a unique outcome. Intelligent conversation to artful seduction — this thread can unlock the unique abilities that we have to think, write and experience the ultimate power of romance and erotica.

A range of subject matters generally found in Dewey ranges 613.96... including, kissing, foreplay, sensual massage, cunnilingus, teasing, edging, lite BDSM, fantasy role playing and other other topics can be explored and tested. Outcomes will be achieved in an un-rushed, stimulating, drama free and open learning environment which will culminate in rewarding, multifaceted orgasmic pleasures - even if it’s only in our mind... but ultimately intended to satisfy our every need and desire and with respect to our shared goal of collaboration, privacy and intellectual freedom.

This sounds very interesting. I'm not a librarian, but I am an professor of English studies and teach lit/writing composition. What are some of your story lines/plots you would be interested in? I have some unique ideas...

Sounds intetrsting. I'll take part.

James was at his usual post - the information desk at the Main downtown branch, a fairly busy urban library. In addition to the usual questions - where’s the bathroom, where are the computer and how do I print my document, James was skilled in readers advisory and commonly received requests for reading recommendations.

His training had taught him to let the customer guide the interaction, to ask probing open ended questions about the genre and style of writing that they most enjoyed. His usual questions included; what books have you recently enjoyed reading, do you have a favorite author? Do you enjoy fiction or non-ficton? What did you like about the book, what period of time did it take place, what would you say about the character development, the plot, or setting? And the resulting recommendations were generally safe and pretty tame... Childs, Baldacci, Roberts, Grafton or read-alikes; occasionally James might recommend Tyler, Lorret or a Harlequin series if the customer suggests a particular interest in something with a little romance.

But this time James was faced with a more unique and specific challenge - Claire. Claire had been coming to the library for years. He remembered her early years at the library - storytime, picture books and board books. Through grade school she quickly move into young adult series and as she grew older and progressed in school she loved the Twlight series, the Hunger Games and other titles with more mature themes.

Today she was at the information desk with a more specific request. She reminded James that she had just graduated from high school, and had finally reached the age of majority. In fact, she proudly announced that she was applying for her received first “adult” library card and she was no longer connected to her parents library account.

Claire had always been curious and precocious. Although she had grown more flirtatious and extroverted over the years, James had tried to not focus too much attention on her during the past year or so, helping her when she needed help, but keeping a safe, professional distance. But today, as she stood before him, it was clear that she had grown into a beautiful woman. It was equally clear from her actions, her look and her questions that she was interested in James and wanted him to provide her with recommendations that were more informative. To help her understand, act on and satisfy her emerging sexuality; she coyly told James she wanted something beyond what she learned in her health science classes...something “real”, something with more spice than the typical YA novel - something that might satisfy her seemingly insatiable romantic urges...

I guess it can take any direction you want it to take... Roleplay, personal connection, or ???

Finally a thread where us bibliophile can slide our fingers over spines and pages to greatest effect

Should we convert our user names to the Dewey Decimal System? I've heard that really gets librarians excited.
