.......anyone have any experience of these, erotic or otherwise ?

The idealised version of attractive naked people having a good time out in the sun makes an appealing image, and a promising basis for adventures and encounters, but granted the reality is, I daresay, less glamourous.......still, I'm interested in this as the grounding for a story, so comments welcome.

Thx.

Tons of people are naturists or nudists here but all of us have different takes on them. There are people who go to spas and resorts. There are people who prefer campgrounds. There are people who jet off to Caribbean luxury vacation spots with private beaches. Others who only go to free public beaches or swimming holes. There are family oriented nude destinations where sexual behavior will get you thrown out. There are places for swingers, gay men, couples... Its a diverse scene.

I've been to several, including the most popular her ein the US, Haulover Beach in Miami (used to own a condo right across the street from it, in fact). Also Playalinda, locted in the Canaveral National Seashore. There's a couple of others in Florida as well.

Sexual activity is highly discouraged at c/o and nude beaches. This kind of stuff occurring is one reason why it is so tough to get nude beaches approved anywhere. At Haulover, we have Beach Ambassadors who patrol the beach looking for shit like that, and will notify Miami-Dade PD if they catch it. I've seen the MDPD arrest several people on the beach for sexual activity.

There are a lot of nice looking bodies there, but there are by far more "average" and not-so-nice looking bodies there. But the people who visit nude beaches don't typically go for people to look at them. Having said that, Haulover is where all the dancers from the clubs in the greater Miami-Fort Lauderdale area go to get rid of tanlines.

Why have clothed beaches?

Things would be better off if all beaches were CO, as this would eventually lead to ending the body been seen as a perverted sex object.

I think that mandating clothes creates that prevention, how have we become such prudes?

I agree that sexual behavior in public needs to be dealt with, but we need to understand that erections happen, some nudists are prudes on this.

It's now the twenty first century, we need to accept that we are human.

I agree 100% with those sentiments.
Hopefully , it would end the appalling practice of body shaming too

One of my favorite places to go. Have been to Orient Beach, before it was damaged by the hurricane, Little Beach in Maui and my favorite Haulover in Miami. I have never seen anything inappropriate on the beach, all though I'm pretty sure I've noticed people having sex in the water.

There are loads in France, both on the Atlantic coast end the Med

The last barrier in body shamming is of corse small penis.

And that's not an issue. At all the naturist beaches, erections are extremely rare. And since there's no indication whether you're a "grower" or a "shower with a small penis" when you don't have an erection, nobody is likely to notice or care.

As a nudist myself, I'd say the last barrier in body shaming is excess weight, in both males and females. We're so immersed in a culture of lithe young bodies that our normal ones can't compare. The trick is getting comfortable with your body, no matter how much or how little fat you have.

I have been to Black's beach in California way back years ago when I lived in there. I have also been to one in France many years ago, but now really want to go to Capde Agde in France as soon as the world ges back to some thing close to normal.

I've done lots of UK ones and the northern coast of France, but Cap d'Agde is also on my post-CoViD wishlist.

Hmmm I would like to know of other beaches in Europe. When this virus thing is over with I hope to make the trip over there for a fun adult vacation. I had one planned and set last January to go in May, well as we all know that did not happen. But I am definitely looking forward to doing as soon as possible. :D

Of cause, however there is nothing wrong with actively promoting healthy lifestyle choices.

Aren't there places in Arizona for this? I seem to remember hearing about a nudist encampment at Quartzite, although it's not a beach. And it's rumored that there's someplace at Lake Havasu where nude bathing is allowed (or at least condoned).

I always enjoy nudist beaches (most are unofficial in this country); also skinny dipping. In both cases there is a mixed bag of people involved. It's not all a Playboy Party experience!

My first time nude was a beach in Miami. Loved it! That was 20 years ago! How time flies! I have been with and without my hub to many nudist places. Nudist, naturists, couples places to swinger places. For the past 9 years I have worked as a nude "Greeter" to new guests at two nudist places here in Vegas. One is naturist and the other is swingers. My hub keeps a list of places we went and where we want to go next! :) We rather no family and we rather it not be clothing optional. We prefer it to be 100% nude for all.

It's something I want to do do much. Must be bliss to lie there naked, with the sunshine warning my body

I've been to many nude beaches in many locations, including Florida (Haulover), New Jersey (Sandy Hook), Spain (Majorca), and Jamaica (too many to mention). The most interesting thing is how rapidly it stops feeling erotic or sexual and just feels like FREEDOM. Freedom not only from clothes, but from your origins and your identity. Everyone is equal, everyone is natural, and everyone is so friendly. I love it.

And that, in a nutshell, is what drew me to nudism.

We did a few in Greece when we were there two years ago. I was more nervous than my wife who took to it like she had been a naturist all her life. It’s what led us to search for a holiday home in Greece, relaxed and friendly people. We were also led to believe that there was a great swinging scene out there as well as the naturist scene. Our other experiences were at an adults only nude resort in Spain. One of th best vacations ever. The great thing about the naturist/nude beaches is that everyone is there for the same reason, to be naked, no one stares or laughs or points which my bbw wife was worried about initially.

One time just before we got married

My husband-to-be and I went to a nude beach one time before we were married. I loved it. But a baby was on the way and the fun and games of life needed to be set aside for a time. I do look forward to going to a nude beach again but it is not full nudity if there is a face mask so I am waiting for the China virus to go away.

A pretentiously scientific study somewhere concluded that in perceived safe environment with universal non-sexual nudity almost anyone lose self-consciousness about their own nudity as something out of ordinary in under forty minutes and most in even significantly less.

That's also compatible with my own limited observations. I do believe that nudity as normal is hard wired and modesty a mostly artificial social construct and trained behavior.
